1. Visit https://www.ignou.ac.in
2. Click on student services
3. Click on the Know Your Status option
4. Go to Check your registration status
5. Enter your enrollment number

✅Solution: Ensure you have provided the correct enrolment number and subject code on the front page. Otherwise, they will not update your result.

Wrong question paper

❌Problem: Sometimes, students get confused during the session and submit the wrong question paper. So, their IGNOU assignment result hasn’t been updated at the right time.

✅Solution: Before writing the project, download the latest question paper from the official webpage https://webservices.ignou.ac.in/assignments

The study centre is permanently closed.

❌Problem: The study centre is not working

✅Solution- Sometimes, the study center is not working anymore, so the regional office allotted a new college. Still, you submitted your TMA to the old study centre, so the IGNOU assignment status updating process takes some time.

Delay in evaluation

❌Problem– The study centre has not sent the marks:

✅Solution- The university assigns tutors to evaluate TMA. Because of the large number of students, your study centre may take some time to evaluate your paper.

How to Easily Update IGNOU Assignment Marks in 2025

I will now provide a practical step-by-step guide to help you get your result easily.

Follow the steps below

Step 1- Visit your Study Center

First, visit your study centre and ask about the delay. Show your Acknowledgment slip as proof and request an update, if possible also visit your regional centre and submit an application for IGNOU assignment marks not updated.

If this doesn’t work, move on to the next step.

Step 2- File a Complaint on IGRAM

If the study centre doesn’t resolve the issue, you can lodge a complaint through the Grievance Portal for further assistance.

• In the grievance category, select “Assignment.”
• In the Subject field, select “updation of marks.”
• Click on next
• Fill in your basic details
• In the Query option, write your complaint and mention your subjects.
• Upload your acknowledgment/submission slip 
• Click on the submit button.

Apply for an RTI (Right to Information), where you can expect a positive reply within 30-45 days.
